Happy 2014 from the authors of iRez!

A Wonderful Year!

It’s been a wonderful year with 20 authors (9 pictured above) 200 new posts, and a renewed focus on the Art & Culture of Virtual Worlds. In Summer 2013 (northern hemisphere) we held Avatar Blogger Month at LEA11 where numerous installations and events took place.

I’ve personally changed my creative focus from Virtual Performance Art to Virtual Public Art (aka “User Generated Public Art”) and our many other authors have been busy at numerous other quests both here on iRez and on their own blogs.

I think each author has different plans for 2014 but I know we’ll all be busy! We hope you will be too, but not too busy to drop by now and again and check on our progress. For all the iRez 2013 authors I wish you a joyous and prosperous 2014!

As a virtual public artist my work invites avatar communities to express their identity, explore their culture, and demand their civil rights.

  1. Looks like I missed the deadline for my 2013 article, but it’s still on my mind, so who knows, maybe in 2014. πŸ™‚ Love you and all the peepl at iRez. Hugs & kissies

    1. Aww, TY Yordie! We I, love you! You’re an amazing and singular person in this or any world. I was a little sad to see less of you in 2013 than in 2012 (especially as I changed my flippin skin tone / ethnicity for YOU! πŸ˜› But a real friend is not a “pet,” they aren’t always there waiting for you. A real friend walks through the journey of life and sometimes you walk a kilometer together and sometimes you’re on different continents and don’t even know if they’re awake or asleep, let alone what road they might be walking on today.

I think the friendship is defined not by always being in constant contact, but by staying a little in-touch even when you’re no longer in the “same city,” and by really, richly, beautifully, stupidly, immersing in, and experiencing those precious moments when you do get to walk together.

      Have a beautiful 2014 Yordie!

      1. Hi Van… I think you are a wonderful human being and I’m so happy we met. I hope our friendship will be one of those where we can just pickup form where we left off, no matter where we wander or how long we’ve been gone. Luv you… Yordie
