Diary #7

TEL AVIV, 2010 — My sister Fiona, her boyfriend Karl, and Karl’s son Oskar on the beach at Tel Aviv. Karl’s an electronics developer, invented a keyboard synthesizer back in the day, and is still making musical electronics. He seems to travel to Israel for product meetings a lot, sometimes Fiona goes with him.

THE HAGUE, 2012 — Karl seems like such a great guy. He seems to have both the capitalist innovatory zeal that Mark had… and the new media vision that Ze does. Of course I’d never be jealous of my own sister. But I do think about her life sometimes. Probably more than I ought to.

As a virtual public artist my work invites avatar communities to express their identity, explore their culture, and demand their civil rights.
