Angry Birds was all I could think of drawing when I got the word ‘Birds’ in the game Draw Something. Come to think of it, next time I get that word I might draw a Budgerigar playing Angry Birds… yes that would work.
Like the Draw Something game Angry Birds hit the market in 2009 and was a huge success and still is I believe but I now have Draw Something to keep me amused these days. I did get at least five people addicted to the game that don’t even play computer games and I really don’t think there’s many out there who haven’t had a little dabble with those angry birds.
I selected a screen shot of the game and began to draw using a tool I don’t particularly like which is the pixel pen. It’s great for borders because you can get those really neat lines.
I started with a black border at the top and bottom using a thick nib. Then I added a thinner line of blue and green at the bottom border just above the black one. I used a light blue highlighter pen for the background sky and used the same highlighter for the detail which I ended up rushing because I got bored.
The pixel pen was used again for the stalk of the catapult. I filled in the rest of the detail with mainly colored pens. The pause button in the top left was also drawn using a white pixel pen to get the symbol even.
This could very well be the only drawing so far that I’ve used pixel pens the most. It also might be one of my quickest DS2 drawings in under about 5 minutes. Simple and stupid and I even received a comment from someone stating that the two birds were on the wrong side which made me giggle.
Ooo Star Wars Angry Birds!!!
