VOODOO HELLO KITTY

There are thousands of versions of the famous Japanese bob-tailed cat Hello Kitty, not just a toy but cars, houses and even theme parks!  The illustrator Yuko Shimizu created Kitty on a coin purse – I have that coin purse… everyone has that coin purse but not everyone has a Voodoo Kitty.

I based Voodoo Kitty on two versions of an original and this was done on Draw Something 1 having only pens to work with for the word ‘Voodoo’

I used to draw all the time... then there was a very long gap till I acquired a Draw Something addiction that began in March 2012 which threw me into the world of digital drawing. I now mainly use a drawing app called Sketch Club and have recently created a website for a drawing game my friend and I have invented called Monkey Side Bars. Monkey Side Bars is a twice-a-week drawing game where you are challenged to a piece of art on a specific theme. Players take turns selecting the theme for each round. On the reveal date for each round, we co-ordinate a mass posting to Instagram simultaneously across the globe (see posting times and collages). Be sure to check your posting time. The game is open to all who wish to participate. We welcome all levels of skill from beginners to hobbyists to professionals. All you need is a creative mind, a sense of humor, and a willingness to try. You might have heard it through the ape vine… This game will have you hooked on the monkey bars. Like a monkey likes a banana… it has that appeal. Come monkey around with us and see what all the fuss is about.

  2. PS: IDK if you wanted the video embedded in your post, or only the link to it… I took the liberty of embedding it for you… feel free to just delete it if you only wanted a link.

    It’s super-easy to embed YouTubes… the “YouTube.com/watch?” url’s like you used… become url’s just like you see… but on the YouTube page there’s also a “Share” link, and if you click that it gives you a “youtu.be/” url… and those you can just paste that whole URL on a line and it’ll embed the video, just like you see above.

    My cousin in the US owns a Hello Kitty car that was custom made for her. It has a lot of detail… cat paws on the seats, the number plate is ‘Meow’ and the alloy wheels are all HK’s!!! I do know that her son gets embarrassed when its parked in front of the house 😀
