Swing

Out of the blueness of space, the openness of an open sky, a swing swayed back and forth languidly. Its perpetual movement became a slice of life, a promise of unlived futures. A young woman approached the swing and sat down cautiously, trying not to fall backwards. She grinned at the cheekiness of her childish decision. Slowly, she moved her feet, giving balance to the swing. Life seemed so easy, away from all her daily concerns. Cradled by the increasingly high flight, the young woman smiled a clear blue sky.

Lisbon, Portugal -- I am a former educator who became a writer. My fascination for people's intricacies and my love for words drive me to write stories. These appear in the format of flash-fiction, short stories and poetry, stubbornly and imprudently!
