Second Life / Virtual Artists’ Alliance / Haiku Speedbuild event wants YOU to read poems! For our April events we’ll be using poems from Nobel Laureate Pablo Neruda’s book Love Poems. Each week we use 4 poems and participants pick one to inspire their sculpture creation. I’m looking for peeps who’d like to make short poem reading videos for us. I’ll give you a list of poems and you can pick any 4 to read. Your human can read them by simply going to YouTube, clicking Record Now, and reading them to your webcam.

Or…

Your avatar can read them by making a little machinima. Here’s a sample of Hanna Lee reading poems from last month’s book, Haiku for the Single Girl, by Beth Griffenhagen:

  1. Awesome project Xue! You’re the 1st person to work at our LEA11 site! (which, uh, I kind of need to do a post about!)

And rock on Miss Hanna for participating!! 🙂
