There seems to be quite an interesting feeling of togetherness and familiarity
when a common goal gathers a relevant number of avatars/people, even if they are strangers (despite the handful of familiar faces and names, most were strangers to me). We walked through different sims together, struggled with lag, crashes, sim crossings
and, in the end, managed to achieve that goal – both geographic and
empathic – and this is quite an achievement! Great vid by Fuschia Nightfire, great pics of the cast (I almost mistyped it “cats”! Hah!) and thank you for organising this event! Fun, fun!
OMG yes! Fuschia’s video is so cool — I can hardly believe she hung out for the Avatar Pride Parade with us and then RAN (didn’t walk) to the opening of her own amazing show over at gallery Graine Macbain. Go Fuschia!
I think any time you do a “task” or project or work toward some sort of goal with other peeps that context or milieu or common goal creates connections and community. It’s nice to work with people, old friends, strangers, or a little of both, toward some common goal.
I found it amazing that she could shoot a vid plus participate in the parade too. Nice work, Fuschia!
It’s all that, Lizzie!
