KASSEL, 9 June — Fear not dear reader! Yes the Critical Art Ensemble’s massive banner did come loose in a strong gust of wind, however iRez’ intrepid, on the ground reporter Trilby Minotaur was not, you will be relieved to know, crushed by the graphic representation of global wealth!

Disconnection
Oh No!
The graph comes loose in a gust of wind!
View from the helicopter as it ascends.
Helicopters do seem to be a theme here at dOCUMENTA (13). Most people who went up in the inequality helicopter understood that it was a metaphor to understand such huge numbers. Others were irate about the noise.
Irate about the noise? Oh poo! Did you see this post:

I got the impression that for the next 100 days the whole town of Kassel considered every pile of dirt or road construction crew to be some sort of Installation or Performance work!? π
Irate about noise??? Don’t they know cutting edge sound art when they hear it!?!
I have a post coming up about sound art. π For now, I’m on my way to hear a talk then to see as much art as I can before I leave for Frankfurt tonight.
Have fun Trilby!
Yay – see as much as you can!
And, of course, you can still post stuff when you get back.
Have a lovely return flight! π
