Cheer 401

In addition to the month of Tuesday classes, SLCS trainees have to take a special class called “Cheer 401.” In my first blog about Cheer I showed you the crazy-mazing HUD we use:

and Cheer 401 is all about that. You have no idea how scared I was! There are SO many ways to screw up! But by the end of the night (the class was THREE hours! (OMG Exhausted!!))… by the end of the night I had actually had SO much fun!!

This is Kristina Curtau (or Kris) who taught the class for us. Just like Srooc, Kris knows EVERYTHING!
Kris telling us Rule #1 - never never never be AFK! If you are, when you come back, you'll find yourself bounced to another sim! O_o
This is us trying the "Ring" "Stunt" (I think)
"V Formation" -- Yay!!!
"Small Pyramids" -- in some ways this is easier than it looks... but in other ways it's harder than it looks! Cheerleading is tricky business!!!
LARGE Pyramid!!!!
SO Fun!!! And SO many things to remember!!! And SO many ways to screw up!!! /me *shivers*
This is Abbie in her SMALL Hair!!! (*giggles*)
This is my Trainee Teammate Alexis!
Basket Toss! It's super-fun, but it all happens SO fast!!!
Look at my -- OMG! -- my -- hmm -- what's the technical term? -- my -- "Perky Butt!" -- *giggles* -- I don't EVER remember standing like THIS before!!! Can the cheerleader thing be going to my head already!!?? :))

OMG, I’ve been spending SO much time at the stadium, I’m almost getting used to letting people see me without my sunglasses on (but not quite!!) I don’t wear very much eye makeup, and I never let people see my eyes. Except for that one time dancing at the Zen place with Shanna, I haven’t let anybody see my eyes in a looooong time! But for our SLCS training they say “no jewelry.” IDK if that actually includes sunglasses, but I was too afraid to ask, so I just took them off.

It still feels a little weird, but I guess I’m getting used to it. It’s funny, first I was nervous that all the “art people” were going to hate me for wanting to do cheer, and then I’m always so scared that I’m not going to get it or screw up, and then mostly it’s just a lot of fun. I wonder what it’d be like if I didn’t worry about stuff and just did a good job and had fun?

/me is good at making things complicated!

xoxo

I grew up in Friday Harbor, WA, and went to school at UBC Vancouver where I received a BSN in 2003. Now I'm a nurse at Children & Women's Health Center of BC. I wish I could tell you I went clubbing every night after work, but those days are pretty much behind me. My boyfriend is a bit of a gamer, but I'm not fond of battles & killing stuff, so I rarely join him. Sometimes I play Second Life instead: it's fun to unleash my inner cheerleader! :)
